I’ve been responsible for the front end work and WordPress maintenance and hosting of this popular wedding blog since 2009. Ensuring the infrastructure behind the site has kept pace with the increases in readership over the last 6 years, I’ve re-homed the site a couple of times and developed an innate understanding of WordPress performance optimisation. The site makes use of optimised Litespeed based hosting infrastructure with optimised code base and Cloudflare CDN/Security protection.

The site routinely delivers content to over 350K unique visitors per month, consuming approximately half a terabyte of bandwidth and over 16.4 million object requests

So with this site I’ve been responsible for front end development, WordPress custom post types and WordPress performance optimisation. The theme contains a custom built wedding supplier directory to Kelly’s specifications.

Receiving Photoshop files from Kelly’s chosen designer I ensured this site was a mobile first responsive build, making use of the Bones starter theme as a base.
